  1. Classes
  2. In the 2008 academic year, there were 1,820 classes for gifted students in senior high schools and under, with 346 classes of students with a high IQ, 352 classes of students scoring high in aptitude tests, 1,103 classes of artistically talented students (445 art, 500 music and 158 dance classes), and 19 classes of students with other special talents.

    Among them, 694 are in primary schools, 707 in junior high schools and 419 in senior/vocational high schools.

  4. In the 2008 academic year, there were 44,970 gifted students receiving special education. Among them, 16,869 were in primary schools, 17,510 in junior high schools and 10,591 in senior/vocational high schools. Graph 2 illustrates gifted students of various categories receiving special education in the 2004-2008 academic years.
