2002 Dr. Wu Ching-shan's term ended and Dr. Wu served as the acting president. Dr. Teng Kou-hsiung was elected and appointed as president by the Ministry of Education.
2003 Complex Building was built.
2005 Dr. Teng Kou-hsiung's term ended and Dr. Teng served as the acting president. Approved by Ministry of Education, the school was upgraded to be Taipei Municipal University of Education from August and Dr. Lin Kung-chin was the acting president.
2006 Dr. Liu Yuan-tsun was elected and appointed as president by the Ministry of Education.
