2017 Administration Management and Pedagogy Seminar held by the Education Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City
Fifty people, comprising presidents, vice presidents, and high-ranking officials from 22 universities in Vietnam, and presidents and vice presidents from universities and tertiary colleges in Taiwan came together to exchange views and share their experience in administration management, pedagogy, and industrial cooperation, all key policy areas in both countries.
Mr. Liang Kuang-Chung, Director General of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City and Dr. Ha Huu Phuc, Director General of the Ministry of Education and Training Southern Office in Ho Chi Minh City jointly presided over by the seminar. In his opening remarks, Mr. Liang spoke about Taiwan’s New Southbound policy and encouraged universities in Taiwan and in Vietnam to work together.
The topic discussed were all related to the three major educational policies of the Ministry of Education and Training in Vietnam which have many similarities with key educational policies in Taiwan. The participants from the Vietnam universities asked many practical questions about how to begin engaging in industrial cooperation and asked the universities in Taiwan to work together with them. And since the seminar, many of the universities in Vietnam have continued to stay in contact with participating universities and tertiary colleges in Taiwan to promote cooperation between their institutions.
