Typhoon Morakot devastates Taiwan. Minister Cheng Rei-cheng, Jiayi Deputy Mayor Li Hsi-jin and Legislator Jiang Yi-hsiung on August 10 inspected schools damaged by Typhoon Morakot. Principal Jiang Yue-bao of Shih Hsien Elementary School was photographed briefing Minister Cheng, who instructed the Jiayi Department of Education to help rebuild schools and promised to provide needed financial assistance.
