Press Conference for New Book launch: "Modern-Day Taiwanese Heroes - 40 Persons Who Refuse to Give in to Destiny"

At the press conference of the new book "Modern-Day Taiwanese Heroes - 40 Persons Who Refuse to Give in to Destiny", Minister without Portfolio Ovid J. L. Tseng, Minister Wu Ching-ji and Chao-sung Huang, president of the Central News Agency, took pictures with the Taiwanese heroes the book introduces. Minister Wu notes that the refusal to give in to destiny demonstrates the Taiwanese spirit. He pledged to purchase 5000 volumes of the book, to be given away to 4,901 schools nationwide so that children can read the life stories of these Taiwanese heroes.
