Creating Top-notch Universities with NT$50 Billion over 5 Years Program

Dr.Wu Ching-ji, Minister of Education (center), Dr.Lee Si-chen, President of National Taiwan University, and Morris Chang, president of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., cut the ribbon for the exhibition of the "Creating Top-notch Universities with NT$50 Billion over 5 Years Program".

On Oct 24th and 25th, the Ministry of Education held an exhibition at National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall to demonstrate the achievements of the "Creating Top-notch Universities with NT$50 Billion over 5 Years Program". Dr.Wu Ching-ji, Minister of Education, said in his address that President Ma Ying-jeou would continue to support the 5-year plan that costs NT$50 billion for the creation of "top-notch" universities in the second phase. Currently the program is being discussed by a group of scholars invited from around the world by Wong Chi-huey, President of Academia Sinica.
