Recipients of this year are from four different cities in Sweden: Lund, Stockholm, Linkoping, and Jonkoping. They all expect to begin their studies in Taiwan soon. Mr. Yu Lin Chen, the Secretary of the Education Division of the Taipei Mission in Sweden outlined the guidelines of the Taiwan Scholarships and the Huayu Enrichment Scholarships, and gave the recipients some details about visa extensions, and what constitutes illegal work, and urged them to join the Taiwan Alumni Association in Sweden.

The Education Division also invited Mr. Johan Skarendahl, the Taiwan Scholarship recipient in 2006, to share some of his 4 years experience of studying and living in Taiwan. He described Taiwan as a very good place to visit, and praised Taiwan’s very friendly people and rich historic culture.

The Education Division of Taipei Mission in Sweden will continue to encourage more Swedish students to study in Taiwan and maintain good relationship with all alumni in the future.
