The program has now been expanded and cultural activities, such as a calligraphy event and a summer intensive Chinese course will start in 2015.

Since 2013, the Education Division has awarded the best student of the Chinese language program a scholarship for a month-long summer intensive Chinese course at National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan. The 2014 scholarship recipient is Wendy Eyckmans (see photo). KU Leuven Campus Brussels held an official award ceremony on October 28 to present her with a certificate acknowledging her achievement. The ceremony was co-chaired by Professor Remco Sleiderink, Campus Dean of the Faculty of Arts in Brussels, and Ms. Hsu Huei-Wen, Director of the Education Division of the Taipei Representative Office in the EU & Belgium. The professors involved in the program and Wendy’s family and friends also attended and joined in congratulating her on her excellent language study achievements.
