TECO in Hanoi assists Taiwan delegation to attend 2017 APEC leaders’ week in Da Nang, Vietnam
2017 APEC Leaders’ Week included a series of activities: the 2-day Concluding Senior Officials’ Meeting (CSOM), the APEC Ministerial Meeting (AMM), and the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting (AELM), all held in Da Nang in Vietnam from November 7 to 11. The delegation from Taiwan included Leader’s Representative Dr. James Soong Chu-yu; Mr. Shen Jong-Chin, the Minister of Economic Affairs; Dr. Chen Mei-ling, Minister of the National Development Council; Ms. Yang Jen-Ni, Director General of the Bureau of Foreign Trade; Hsu Peiyung, Director General of the Department of International Organizations; and more than a hundred representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the National Security Council, the Mainland Affairs Council, and the Executive Yuan Office of Trade Negotiations all attended the meetings. Mr. Richard R.C. Shih, Representative at TECO in Vietnam, and Mr. Liang Kuang-Chung, the Director General of TECO in Ho Chih Minh City, led staff from their respective offices to provide the delegation in Da Nang with assistance to facilitate fulfilling its mission, including security control, transportation, and arrangements for social interactions, and welcome dinners.
