The Institute of Educational Managers Ho Chi Minh City organized a Vietnam Educational Reform on Study Abroad Consulting Seminar and invited the Education Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City to attend and give a briefing on Taiwan’s education policies.
The seminar on May 18, 2018 attracted over 60 attendees: representatives of the Prime Minister’s office, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Bureaus of Education of many provinces, and education consulting agencies.

At the invitation of the Institute of Educational Managers Ho Chi Minh City, Ms. Tina Ou, the Education Attaché at the Education Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City outlined Taiwan’s secondary and tertiary education policies. She emphasized how much Taiwan values the importance of education and urged the different education sectors in Vietnam to cooperate with each other. She also took this opportunity to mention Taiwan’s New Southbound Policy and the wide range of opportunities it offers Vietnamese students, such as industry-academia programs, joint-research programs, and student internships.

As well as the seminar, the Institute of Educational Managers Ho Chi Minh City held an education fair, which attracted more than 1,200 students. The Education Division participated in the education fair and handed out over 1,000 brochures about opportunities to study or do an internship in Taiwan. The event was a great success.
