2005.04.24-30 Dr. Horst Hippler, President of Karlsruhe University, Visits Taiwan

Dr. Horst Hippler, President of Karlsruhe University, a prestigious German technical university, is visiting Taiwan, as a guest of the Ministry of Education.

During his visit, President Hippler will visit the following institutions of higher learning, the Academic Sinica, the National Taiwan University, the National Tsing Hua University, the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, the Tsu Chi University and Tsu Chi Hospital, along with his university's sister schools.

Dr. Hippler hopes to gain a better understanding of Taiwan's educational system and the current developments within Taiwan's educational reform movement.

Karlsruhe University, well-known for its outstanding Engineering Department and research and development projects, has been influential force for Germany's engineering success.
