EDU Cloud’ website that the student will not fall behind

Due to the seriousness of the Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak, more than one hundred countries around the world have suspended classes, yet in Taiwan teachers in schools at all levels are continuing to provide classes for their students. In addition, schools at all levels should be prepared to carry out early deployment of epidemic control measures, such as adjusting teaching methods and conducting small-scale distance learning pilots. At the same time, the Ministry of Education (MOE) has established the ‘epidemic prevention continuous learning-online learning specific section’ on the ‘EDU Cloud’ website to assist schools is providing uninterrupted learning so students will not fall behind. The MOE will continue to organize and provide resources, platforms and tools needed for online teaching in primary, senior high schools, colleges and universities, and coordinate with telecom carriers to provide preferential discounted network programs for home learning. As part of the latest updates to serve teachers’ needs, a video of online teaching guidelines has been provided. The MOE invited experienced teachers to produce this video. Organized by theme, the video content ranges from understanding the basic concepts of online teaching to demonstrating online synchronous learning and blending learning with different methods and thus teachers can follow these guidelines and become exceptional experts.
