The Association of Taiwanese Students in Japan’s Kansai Region Holds an Year-End Party

The 38 participants were all ready to welcome the year of the Tiger in 2022

The Association of Taiwanese Students in the Kansai Region of Japan held an end-of-year party at a restaurant in Osaka city on 5 December, 2020. In order to comply with the current epidemic prevention measures, this annual event had to be downsized. A total of 23 students, comprising the presidents and office-holders of twelve associations of Taiwanese Students in the Kansai region (Kyoto, Osaka, and Kobe) were invited to attend, together with another fifteen people from the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Osaka, the Osaka Chinese Association, and the Association of Taiwanese Students of Nagoya University in the Chubu Region.

The party began with a welcome speech by Cai Chun-An, a student at Kinki University who is the president of the Association of Taiwanese Students in the Kansai Region. Andre Chang, Vice Director General of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Osaka and Guo Chong-Sin, the president of the Osaka Chinese Association then each gave a short speech, encouraging all the students to study hard and make a lot of friends as well. After that, Hong Li Sheng-Sin, the honorary chairman of the Osaka Chinese Association proposed a toast.

Then during the party, He Hong-Yi, a third-year student at Kansai Gakuin University, gave a special presentation about the process of Cloud Funding and entrepreneurship that left a deep impression on everyone.

The party gave the students a rare opportunity to chat and interact in a warm atmosphere which they seized happily. As we look forward to the new Tiger year, the Education Division and everyone at the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Osaka wish all the students good health, and vigor and diligence and growth in their studies.
