Many Sports Voucher operators bring out special offers The public should take the opportunity to get outside for sport and exercise

As COVID-19 eases in Taiwan, related pandemic prevention measures are also gradually being relaxed. Together with many well-known operators such as Taroko Sports and SNOWTOWN etc. the Sports Administration is introducing Sports Voucher additional special offers. Also, in response to the growth in online consumption, winners of Sports Vouchers in the lucky draw will be allowed to use them for online purchases. The vouchers can now be redeemed at well-known convenience stores and online.

The Sports Administration’s Sports Vouchers are valid until June 30 this year. To encourage the public to get outside to do sports and exercise or attend a venue to watch a ball game, additional special offers have been brought out by the Sports Administration and some operators, such as discounts on courses at 14 citizens sports centers, exchanging a NT$500 vouchers for NT$720 worth of tokens at a batting cage, easily practicing baseball and softball or driving a kart; Fitness Factory also offers a discount for becoming a member. SNOWTOWN, the indoor ski slope in Taichung offers a special offer ticket package plus meal vouchers. 

Also, in response to changes in public purchasing habits, the Sports Voucher website has a newly-added Application Programming Interface mechanism API (Application Programming Interface,) linking mechanism helping operators allow voucher winners to use vouchers against online purchases. Winners of Sports Vouchers in the lucky draw can use the vouchers at the FamiTicket, 7-11 ibon, AEB, Tix Craft, Era… and other well-known online platforms to buy tickets for sports events, gym courses, batting cage tickets, swimming pool tickets and other sports tickets online, using Sports Vouchers to do or watch sports.

This year, Sports Vouchers have expanded area cooperation area and alliance, using local resources to develop sports tourism and drive the development of the sports economy and giving winners of Sports Vouchers more choice of trips, letting sports link scenic spots, industry and culture, promoting local characteristics and molding local charm.

To date, the redeemed amount of Sports Vouchers is NT$220 million, compared to just NT$94 million when the first Sports Vouchers were issued to do or watch sports in 2020, showing that Sports Voucher 2.0 has done much to stimulate the core sports industries heavily impacted by the pandemic.

Sports Vouchers are valid until June 30. To date, more than 540,000 eligible people have not received the Sports Vouchers. The Sports Administration reminds the winners in the lucky draw to not miss this chance and to quickly receive and spend the vouchers at cooperating businesses listed on the Sports Voucher website.
