Training Outstanding Reserve Teachers to Establish the Foundation of Education
The certificate recipients had better performance than other reserve teachers, they are in the top 25% in their class or department each academic year while in school, passing the English CEFR level B1 or above, spending 224 to 1,367 hours tutoring disadvantageous students. On average, reserve teachers only earned 30 compulsory credits in education, but these outstanding reserve teachers earned a total of 42 to 67 credits. In addition, they enthusiastically joined teacher education activities, enhancing their ability to combine teaching theory and practice. They also needed to get good grades in workshops or competitions. The MOE hopes that those who got the Outstanding Reserve Teachers Certificate will be excellent teachers in the future in kindergarten, elementary school and junior high school.
