International Students

International students who meet the criteria of Article 2 or Article 3 of the Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan are permitted to apply for admission to an educational institution in Taiwan.

You’ll need to get information about eligibility for programs from the university or tertiary college that you want to attend. International students applying for admission to a university or college must then submit the required documents and apply directly to the university or college during its designated application period. Applicants who pass the review or screening process will be issued an admission notice.

Overseas Chinese Students

Overseas Chinese students who meet the criteria of the Regulations Regarding Study and Counseling Assistance for Overseas Chinese Students in Taiwan are permitted to apply for admission to an educational institution in Taiwan.

A person’s overseas Chinese student status must be validated by the Overseas Compatriots Affairs Commission (OCAC). For information about eligibility to take a particular program, please contact OCAC directly by ringing +886 2 2327-2600 or visit the OCAC website.
