The New-Generation Strategy to Combat Drug Abuse 3.0 Strategy of Drug Identification

Date:

The ‘New-Generation Strategy to Combat Drug Abuse’ 3.0 (hereinafter referred to as Strategy 3.0) is expected to invest NT$15 billion over four years. Through the comprehensive means of cross-department, cross-local government, and cross-domain collaboration, the ultimate goals of ‘tracing drug origins, pursuing drug traffickers, cutting off cash flow and preventing reoffending’ can be achieved. The main operations of Strategy 3.0 include four dimensions, which are drug enforcement, drug detection, drug user rehabilitation, and drug identification.

Importantly, the Ministry of Education is responsible for the operation of ‘drug identification’, and the expectation is that, through the three-level preventive mechanisms of ‘educational promotion’, ‘verify and report’ and ‘counseling and referral’, the following goals can be achieved:

1.Students receive information on drug hazards and drug refusal skills.

2.The completion rate of campus case counseling reached 80%.
