Study in Taiwan - Higher Education Institutions from Taiwan Participate in the 24th EAIE at Dublin
The Ministry of Education and Foundation for International Cooperation in Higher Education of Taiwan have been leading Taiwan’s higher education institutions to participate in the international educators’ conferences such as APAIE, NAFSA, and EAIE for 5 years. In addition to having a “Study in Taiwan” pavilion as a platform for Taiwan’s universities to build up partnerships and exchange programs with foreign institutions, Taiwan actively strives for presentation opportunities in the formal sessions of the international conferences. Through the participation in the international conferences, Taiwan hopes to accumulate the educational resources of Taiwan’s universities to promote Taiwan’s quality education to the world.
The representatives of Taiwan were given a special privilege this year in EAIE to hold a seminar in title of “The perfect match: Europe and Taiwan”. This was a seminar especially planned to enhance the collaboration between Taiwan and Europe, and the speech was delivered by the CEO of FICHET, Dr. Lily H. M. Chen. The other seminar held by Taiwanese speaker was delivered by Dr. Kun-Liang Chuang of Feng Chia University in the title of “Service learning in East-Asian universities”. These two sessions strengthen the cooperation with higher education institutions in Europe and attract more excellent international students to study in Taiwan. The goal of promoting the higher education in Taiwan and international cooperation can be reached through these seminars as expected.
