The Hong Kong Association of Careers Masters and Guidance Master Limited held its annual Multiple Pathways Seminar: Seminar on Study in Taiwan on November 25, 2016. There are quotas on undergraduate courses in Hong Kong, so having the option of studying at a university in Taiwan is excellent for both secondary school graduates and for the graduates of associate bachelor programs. Degrees from universities in Taiwan are generally recognized in Hong Kong.

The seminar began with Mr. Sheu Ruey-horng Principal Deputy Director of the Liaison Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office sharing details of his own experience, with students who are currently applying to do preparatory programs to study in Taiwan. Details of the study environment in Taiwan and different study pathways were also given.

The second part of the seminar was presented by the University Entrance Committee for Overseas Chinese Students. It was attended by 69 teachers from 58 different secondary schools in Hong Kong, and seven students. They were interested in how many people sat for different exams and what proportion passed, and how to ensure that students choose suitable courses that really interest them.

The Taiwan Visitors Association in Hong Kong presented the final part of the seminar, which ended with a Q & A session.

A power point presentation will be available on the HKACMGM website: www.hkacmgm.org
