The MOE Holds an International Conference and Roundtable Forum on Effective Teaching

The MOE held an International Conference and Roundtable Forum on Effective Teaching at the University of Taipei on November 26, 2016 to expend international academic exchange programs and enhance the professional skills of Taiwan`s educators. Dr. Gary D. Borich, Professor of Educational Psychology and Teacher Education in the College of Education at the University of Texas in Austin gave a keynote lecture on “Effective Teaching and Learning” and engaged in professional dialogue with Taiwan experts and scholars in the education field. The MOE also held Roundtable Forums on Effective Teaching in southern, central, and northern Taiwan, at Heh Sheng Elementary School in Pingtung County on November 28, Ying Pei Junior High School in Nantou County on November 30, and Chang Ping Elementary School in New Taipei City on December 1, 2016. Dr. Borich took part and exchanged ideas with elementary and junior high school teachers. These forums provided the participants some new insights about effective teaching, and opportunities for learning through face-to-face interaction and dialogue.
