In order to make the development of special education to link up with the world, and to respond to the review of UN’s Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), Taiwan will publish the 2018 Annual Special Education Statistic Report in Chinese and English in November.
Taiwan published the first Annual Special Education Statistic Report in 1999. All Data are acquired from the Ministry of Education’s Special Education Transmit Net. This year (2018) marks the 20th annual report which retrieved the data before May 28, 2018.
This Annual Special Education Statistic Report comprises several parts of statistics related to special education in Taiwan, including the number of special education schools, classes, and students, the number of students with disabilities in universities, the number of students received support service, the number of special education teachers, the number of in-service special education activities, and the budget and the implementation of special education expenditures.
