Taiwan Higher Education Institutions Participated at the Eighth 2013 APAIE Conferences in Hong Kong

To enhance interaction and collaboration opportunities between Taiwan, Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau, Taiwan held the Symposium for Deans of Cross-strait Affairs with the theme “The Cultivation and Collaboration Strategy on the Development of Global Elites” on March 11th to discuss opportunities for furthering collaboration. The discussion was chaired by Dr. Tony W.T. Lin, Professor Fok Tai-fai, Vice President of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Prof. Haydn H. D. Chen, Vice Rector of the University of Macau and Professor Xia Hongwei, Director of Office for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs, Peking University. Dr. Lin expressed his sincere hope for more intimate and robust cross-strait interactions and collaborations in the near future.
Across straits higher education institutions should take advantage of their common values and culture and cooperate with each other to provide more opportunities for Taiwan students.
