The MOE conducts a flag conferring ceremony on August 13, 2014, ahead of the 2nd Summer Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing. MOE Political Deputy Minister Chen Der-hwa (陳德華) (left) conferred the national flag to Team representative Lin Hong-dow (林鴻道) (center), Chairman of Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee, and Liao Yu-hui (廖裕輝) (right), leader of the Team. Chen wished the Team to perform well, and also encouraged competitors to gain experience from this event and prepare themselves for future international competitions, in addition to broadening their horizons and putting holistic education into practice through culture exchanges.
