Taiwan Higher Education Fair 2014 - in Malaysia

The Taiwan Higher Education Fair 2014 was held successfully in several cities in Malaysia in July. It was first held in Kuala Lumpur on July 7 and July 8. 100 public and private universities and colleges from Taiwan took part in the fair, displaying materials, and more than 10,000 students and their parents visited the fair to obtain the latest information about studying in Taiwan. Dr. Hwang Pi-Twan, the political Deputy Minister of Education in Taiwan, was invited to speak at the opening ceremony, and she visited each booth and spoke with the representatives from universities in Taiwan.

After Kuala Lumpur, the fair travelled and took place in Penang on July 10 and July 11, and then Kuching and Sabah on July 14 and July 15.

The fair was organized by the Federation of Alumni Associations of Taiwan Universities, Malaysia (FAATUM) which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. In honor of its anniversary and in conjunction with the education fair, FAATUM hosted a dinner on July 5, with over 1,000 guests attending. Representatives from Taiwan’s universities who were in Malaysia for the fair, and alumni from Malaysia enjoyed a wonderful evening together.
