MOE Taiwan Scholarship and Huayu Enrichment Scholarship Briefing Session held in Malaysia

The Education Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Malaysia released the list of the 20 recipients of Ministry of Education Taiwan Scholarships and 2 recipients Huayu Enrichment Scholarships for 2014. The Education Division then held a briefing on July 31, 2014 to confer award certificates to the 22 awardees and to explain the regulations governing studying in Taiwan, and provide other useful details.

Mr. Lo Yu-Chung, Taiwan’s Representative at TECO in Malaysia, hosted the briefing session and presented the award certificates to the recipients. The director of the Education Division, Chu To-Ming, and the First Secretary of Consular Affairs, Yuen Pi-Chun and more than 20 parents also attended the occasion.

Lo Yu-Chung congratulated the awardees and urged them to concentrate on their studies in Taiwan and grasp this wonderful chance to learn about the cultures of the other foreign students. Chu To-Ming then explained the annual renewal process of Taiwan Scholarship, and gave the students practical tips for smoothly starting their new life in Taiwan.

Yuen Pi-Chun explained various consular affairs procedures in detail, including visa applications, certificate authentication, and the form of medical report required. The students will begin their studies in Taiwan from September 2014 onwards.
