Taipei Mission visits the 2015 International Fair at Stockholm University, Sweden.
Mr. Leo Lee, the Representative at the Taipei Mission in Sweden and Mr. Frank Chen, the Acting Director of the Education Division, were invited by Stockholm University to attend its 2015 International Fair on 29 September 2015. Stockholm University has two partner universities in Taiwan: National Taiwan University and Tamkang University. Both of these were among the 62 universities from 35 countries that were invited to take part in this educational fair and present information to offer to potential international students. Other participating universities included the University of Tokyo, the National University of Singapore, the University of Helsinki, and KU Leuven in Belgium.

Leo Lee encouraged the exchange students from Taiwan studying at Stockholm University to continue with their studies and undertake a further degree program in Sweden because of Sweden’s strength in the design and innovation field. Ms. Chen, an exchange student from National Taiwan University in Sweden for one semester said was enjoying her exchange program in this Nordic country. Ms. Lin, an exchange student from Tamkang University said that the courses of Stockholm University were intensive and interesting, and she was also enjoying it.

A stream of approximately three or four hundred Swedish students visited the Study in Taiwan stand at the 2015 International Fair. The exchange students answered their many questions about such things as Taiwan’s education system, options for studying there, programs taught in English in Taiwan, and about Taiwan’s people, culture, and environment. They were all made to feel welcome to visit Taiwan and study in Taiwan, and many took away pamphlets about studying there.
