‘Study in Taiwan’ Exhibition held during International Day at Loughborough University
The Director of the Education Division of the Taipei Representative Office in the U.K., Mr Ouyang Yen-Heng, visited the campus and extended a warm welcome to the participants. He encouraged the international students to experience the Taiwanese way of life and learn Mandarin. Mr Ouyang expressed his hope that the students present would one day have the opportunity to visit Taiwan themselves and personally experience Taiwan’s vibrant learning environment and its rich culture, diverse landscape, friendly environment, democratic society, high-quality education, and excellent standard of living.
Loughborough University’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Robert Allison, personally visited the Taiwanese exhibition booth and enjoyed sampling some traditional Taiwanese foods with Taiwanese students. Professor Allison explained that he had wonderful memories of a previous trip to Taiwan and he was delighted to join the students and other guests in celebrating Taiwan’s heritage and customs.
