Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) takes part in the Academic Mobility Fair 2018 - “MOBE”
The National University of Asuncion – Polytechnic College hosted the Academic Mobility Fair 2018 - MOBE on Friday, May 11. The Polytechnic College invited ambassadors and representatives from different countries to set up stands at the education fair providing information about studying overseas.
The aim of the MOBE Fair is to make information about different mobility opportunities available to students of the National University of Asuncion and to the general public. It promotes academic programs in different countries, and provides information about undergraduate and graduate scholarships, the study-destination countries, the universities, organizations, and institutions involved, and testimonies of scholarship students who have gone and studied abroad.
The opening ceremony of the education fair was attended by the Third Secretary of Education at the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan), Mr. Hilario Chen who accompanied Professor Hector Rojas, the rector of the National University of Asuncion, and Professor Teodoro Salas Coronel, the dean of the Polytechnic College, and other international diplomatic personnel, and members of the educational and cultural community of Paraguay.
Professor Salas expressed his sincere gratitude to the Government of Taiwan for the scholarship opportunities given to many Paraguayan students over the years.
The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) had a stand at the education fair providing "Study in Taiwan" information, and staff gave a presentation outlining the different academic opportunities available there. Members of the Paraguayan Taiwan Alumni Association also participated and shared details of their experience of studying abroad in Taiwan with the audience.
Over 500 students visited the stand to learn about the different programs offered by the Government and educational institutions in Taiwan.
