Ms. Lin Yu-Yin, born in Taipei in Taiwan. In 2014 she was awarded a scholarship by Taiwan’s Ministry of Education to undertake further studies in instrumental performance in Germany. She is now studying in the Master of Music – Piano program at the Musikhochschule Münster, the Münster School of Music, a part of the University of Münster. Her teachers are Prof. Grigory Gruzman and Prof. Andreas Frölich, both internationally prestigious.
On August 14 and August 20 this year, she was invited to perform at the 7. Piano Loop Festival in Split in Croatia and she gave concerts in the Roman Palace built for Diocletian and the final concert together with many international pianists from Croatia, Romania, and France.
Despite the current Corona-19 pandemic, there was still a sizeable audience to enjoy the wonderful music played by the Croatian pianists and the seven foreign pianists invited to take part in this Piano Festival. Ms. Lin has been playing piano for 25 years and has taken part in numerous piano events. It was her teachers Prof. Grigory Gruzman and Prof. Andreas Frölich who recommended her to the Croatian festival organizers.
Ms. Lin is especially good performing the works of Debussy, Schumann, and Brahms, and the festival audience in Split gave this outstanding pianist from Taiwan an enthusiastic and warm response for her performance of pieces by Debussy, Chopin, and Brahms.
