Education Division, TECO in Vietnam celebrates Chinese New Year with the Taiwan Alumni Association in Vietnam
On February 25, 2021, Mr. Chu To-Ming, Director of the Education Division, Ms. Chang Shu-Ching, Secretary of the Education Division, Prof. Hsu Hui-Huang, Director of the Science Division and Mr. Tseng Wen-Long, Secretary of the Science Division invited the Taiwan Alumni Association in Vietnam and the Hanoi Branch of the Taiwanese Enterprises in Vietnam to a Chinese New Year dinner to celebrate the beginning of the Chinese year of the Ox together. During the dinner, they discussed ways that TECO in Vietnam could assist the Taiwan Alumni Association in Vietnam hold activities to maintain links between alumni, and assist Taiwanese Enterprises in Vietnam recruit high quality staff.
The Taiwan Alumni Association in Vietnam was set up voluntarily by some passionate Vietnamese alumni of universities in Taiwan. Leading members who attended the dinner included Mr. Hà Hữu Nam, chief editor of a prominent Buddhist magazine in Vietnam; and Dr. Nguyễn Tài Đông, Director of the Institute of Philosophy at the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences; Dr. Nguyễn Văn Mạnh, Director of the Institute of Environmental Technology at the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences; Ms. Nguyễn Diệu Hương, a researcher at the Institute of China Studies at the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences; Dr. Nguyễn Văn Hòa, the Rector of Chu Van An University; and Mr. Vũ Duy Vui, Vice President of the Young Architect Association in Vietnam.
Mr. Chu To-Ming, Director of the Education Division delivered the welcome remarks. He described the Taiwan Alumni Association in Vietnam as a vital bridge for bilateral relationships between Taiwan and Vietnam, and said he was very pleased to see that the alumni of Taiwan universities had gone on to have so many great achievements in their different fields of specialist expertise. He’s looking forward to ongoing cooperation with the association and its members.
