Education Division Hosts Online Seminar for Students Going to Taiwan

In order to assist students who are about to go to Taiwan to begin university studies have a better understanding of Taiwan’s education system, visa regulations, COVID-19 regulations, culture, and other practical concerns, the Education Division at the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City hosted the 2021 Study in Taiwan Freshmen orientation seminar. 

Dr. Lee Yen-Yi, Director General of the Department of International and Cross-strait Education of the Ministry of Education, and Director General Chung Wen Cheng of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City each made opening remarks to welcome the new students to Taiwan.

The Education Division explained the current COVID-19 quarantine regulations and VISA application procedures to the students and also gave an outline of Taiwan’s educational system, culture and sights. Moreover, China Airlines gave a presentation to the students providing helpful information about the airport and airline regulations regarding COVID-19 that will help them to make a smooth departure.

More than 500 students registered for this seminar and they reported that they found the seminar very helpful.
