Harvard University Taiwanese Students Association (HTSA) has always been creative when it comes to event planning, and so this year’s Halloween theme event was no exception. It was a cultural crossover event, full of fun and mind storming sections too!

The students association prepared lots of thought-provoking Taiwanese language related games for students to play in teams, and this created opportunities for all the participants to get to know each other.

It was really interesting to see Harry Potter, dinosaurs, and a Disney princess speaking Taiwanese together, and the people there constantly broke out in laughter. And as well as the fun games, there was delicious homemade vegetarian food provided, helping everyone to warm up on what was a cold day. HTSA also prepared two prizes: one for the overall winner of the Taiwanese language games, and the other for the person with the “coolest” costume.  This was another highlight of a great party.

Taiwanese students are always full of innovative ideas, when it comes to cultural blending and having fun; they appreciate different cultures, and preserving their own culture at the same time.
