Seijoh University, Japan and Taichung Municipal Dajia Senior High School Sign Friendship Agreement

Seijoh University in Aichi prefecture, Japan and Taichung Municipal Dajia Senior High School, Taiwan formally concluded a Friendship Agreement on January 14, 2022. The signing ceremony was conducted online.

Taichung Municipal Dajia Senior High School, established in 1940 and formerly called Dajia Womens High School, is been strongly supported by its alumni association, and local people and it have a tradition of having a quality educational philosophy. It has recently recognized by the Ministry of Education in Taiwan as a leading school for its innovative courses, and for the high quality education it provides its students.

Seijoh University is located in Aichi, a thriving manufacturing industry area. It has a focus on developing students’ creativity and problem solving skills, and each year it ranks high among the 65 universities in the four prefectures in the Tokai Area for the research subsidies it earns from the Japan government because of its high quality research. It has become famous for remarkable research achievements.

The agreement includes interactive cooperation to enhance cultural understanding that will encourage the high school students in Taiwan to understand Japanese culture and traditions and will provide a great opportunity for students and teachers in both parties to interact.
The very formal signing ceremony was attended by Xiao Jian-hua, the principal of Taichung Municipal Dajia Senior High School, the persons in charge of each section of the school, members of the PTA (Parents Teacher Association), students and members of the school’s alumni association, and by Isao Akaoka, the president of Seijoh University, Takaki Ishida, the vice president of the university, and Lu Tsong-Ming, a professor from Taiwan who is the Dean of Business Administration at the university.
