2023 International Sports Affairs Training Course kicks off - Strong team of lecturers from IOC × Paris 2024

The highly anticipated 2023 International Sports Affairs Training Course (2023 ISATC) for which 155 students have been accepted from more than 400 registrants will officially begin on a online teaching platform on May 19. Physical lectures will be held  between June 3-4 and 10-11 at Mellow Fields Hotel, Tianmu, Taipei. The Sports Administration has recruited heavyweight domestic and foreign lecturers to teach, matched with experienced mentors and former students to allow the participating students who are prepared and willing to take the opportunity for professional enhancement to leave the course fully laden with new knowledge.

The course this time has enlisted South Korea’s Mr. Seung Min RYU and Palau’s Ms. Baklai TEMENGIL, members of the International Olympic Committee, to talk on the topics of Olympic activities and international sports diplomacy and politics. Lin Li-rong, currently continental manager for the Paris Organizing Committee for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games (Paris OC) and had took part in the organizing of the Qatar World Cup and Tokyo Olympics, and is also an outstanding graduate of the Course, will bring her professional knowledge and experience of Olympics organizing, execution and assessment to the course.

Also, the IOC announced that from Paris 2024, designated global reception suppliers will cooperate with the Paris OC and be responsible for ticketing, travel, accommodation and unique in-venue and host city reception services. This Course has also invited Mr. Clement PORCHER of the Department of National Olympic Committee and Paralympic Relations of IOC designated supplier On Location to share new trends in the world of sport; Qatar Olympic Committee international relations and games management consultant Mr. Louis LOUIS has also been invited to come to Taiwan to lecture. The lecturers are all outstanding and the courses packed with information, giving students a chance to obtain in-depth and comprehensive international sports affairs competencies.

The Sports Administration stated that widely borrowing the experience of elite will make the nurturing and development of international sports talents more diverse and will energize and enrich the course this time; this will achieve diversification and best benefits of talent use, together striving to promote international sports affairs to produce international sports affairs talent with quality and quantity and to realize and create value for Taiwan in international sports.
