Seminar on International and Cross-strait Sports Exchange takes the stage again
The second Seminar on International and Cross-Strait Sports Exchange was held by the Sports Administration (SA) on October 17th; two administrative seminars are held every year to provide the latest international sports exchanges information. The first seminar was held in April this year.
In this second seminar, the Mainland Affairs Council (MAC) was invited to share matters for attention and cross-strait exchange activity cases; a leading accounting firm, Co-mastery, explained the key points for implementing budget allocation and write-off matters for attention; an official from the Tourism Administration of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications was also invited to share resources related to the marketing of large-scale international sports events and cases. The SA described in detail the administrative operations related to international sports exchanges, aiming to help each sports event organizer to become familiar with various operations issues.
After the global pandemic slowed down, SA has encouraged sports groups and local governments to organize international sports events. It is expected that more than 90 international competitions will be held in Taiwan in 2023. With the efforts of all units, it is hoped the level of various international events held in Taiwan can continue to rise, making Taiwan more visible internationally. In doing so, SA will periodically amend relevant regulations to match actual application situations. This year it has relaxed the subsidy criterion and increased the maximum subsidy amount, aiming to encourage everyone to actively bid for international competitions and, through handling administrative seminars twice a year, work with everyone to make international sports events held in Taiwan even better.
