The Ministry of Education Friendly Campus Week promotion events have begun. The Ministry of Education (MOE) has appointed Taiwanese Olympic gold medalist boxer Lin Yu-Ting as the Anti-Bullying Goodwill Ambassador, and a certificate of appointment was awarded at the ministry's affairs meeting. Miss Lin Yu-Ting's dedication to boxing and all her efforts along the way are widely recognized. Her journey to winning the gold medal at the Olympics as well as her role in anti-bullying efforts are known worldwide. We hope that the strength of this Taiwanese daughter will encourage more schools to actively combat bullying, ensuring every student can learn and grow in a safe and friendly environment.
The MOE is committed to combating school bullying. To promote this, each semester's first week is designated as Friendly Campus Week, focusing on issues such as school bullying prevention, gender equality education, human rights education, and moral education. The theme for the 113 academic year is "Rejecting Child Sexual Exploitation - Don't Record, Don't Share, Don't Keep, Seek Help." To enhance the effectiveness of this promotion, Miss Lin Yu-Ting has been specially appointed as the Anti-Bullying Ambassador this year.
Minister of MOE Dr. Zheng Ying-Yao stated, "The bullying incidents and online attacks during the Olympics have made us more aware of the importance of anti-bullying efforts. Athlete Yu-Ting, with her achievements and courage, has become a beacon in the fight against bullying, and we are honored to invite her as a goodwill ambassador." Minister Zheng further pointed out, "We will leverage Yu-Ting's influence to continue advancing anti-bullying activities and work together to build a friendly and warm campus environment."
The MOE appreciates Miss Lin Yu-Ting's involvement, which will help increase public attention to anti-bullying efforts. A series of activities will follow to promote and combat bullying. We hope her exemplary role will encourage more schools to actively advocate these ideas, ensuring every student can learn and grow in a safe and friendly environment.
