On July 10, 2024, personnel from the Education Division of the Taipei Representative Office in Germany visited the BSP Business & Law School Berlin and presented an information session for undergraduate students about Taiwan and opportunities for studying there.

The session began with an outline of Taiwan's location and geography, highlighting its beautiful landscapes and vibrant cities, and a brief overview of Taiwan's history, including colonial periods, the establishment of the Republic of China, Taiwan's democratic political system and multi-party elections, and the significance of cross-strait relations with China. Cultural aspects, such as Taiwan's blend of traditional customs—including major festivals such as Lunar New Year and the Dragon Boat Festival and famous dishes such as beef noodle soup, stinky tofu, and bubble tea—and modern influences such as Taiwan's vibrant night market culture were also discussed.

The end of the session was focused on educational opportunities in Taiwan, its higher education system and global recognition and two Ministry of Education scholarship programs: the Huayu Enrichment Scholarship program for international students to study Mandarin in Taiwan for up to a year, and the Taiwan Scholarship program, which supports outstanding international students to undertake a degree at a university in Taiwan. The students were given details of how to apply for the scholarships in Germany, through the German Academic Exchange Service DAAD.

The session at the BSP Business & Law School Berlin provided the undergraduate students with a comprehensive overview of Taiwan and they were highly engaged throughout the presentation, showing great interest in the topics discussed and the opportunities for their academic and personal growth offered by Taiwan. Many asked questions about educational opportunities in Taiwan and expressed a keen interest in applying for a Huayu Enrichment Scholarship and/or a Taiwan Scholarship, or in going to Taiwan for their studies as an exchange student.
