Sports Administration commends enterprises for employing sports instructors to increase enterprise sustainable development momentum

The Sports Administration(SA) held the 2024 Commendation Event for Promoting Corporate Recruitment of Sports Instructors on November 13. Chief Secretary Lu Chung-jen personally presented awards to companies participating in the program. In addition to displaying the results of the implementation of this plan over the years and the results of corporate employee sports management, the event also invited company representatives to share the assistance and changes that the management of employee sports has brought to the company, to promote exchanges and learning among various industries, and to lead and promote the culture of workplace sports.

To encourage more companies to hire sports instructors, this event arranged corporate experience sharing. Cheng Ming-hsiang, Chief Operating Officer of FSP Group Inc, introduced how the company has used complete employee sports facilities and annual sports activities (such as Family Day, Mountaineering Day, etc.) and the implement of a physical activity credit system, combined with strong support of leadership, FSP Group Inc has created a workplace environment with work-life balance. He further shared this year’s newly hired sports instructors, emphasizing the advantages of these professionals in promoting employees’ sports motivation and creating a dynamic workplace. Cheng Ruo-ping, assistant manager of the Human Resources Department of Taoyuan Metro Corporation, introduced the company's practice of combining sports instructors and sports clubs; she shared that the company started from peer exchange competitions and gradually encouraged the establishment of sports clubs and set up of sports facilities. They also organize activities such as road running activities and sports parents' days, to implement employee health promotion and realize the company's vision of sustainable development.

The SA stated that since 2018, it has been implementing the "Promoting Corporate Recruitment of Sports Instructors" program. To date, the program has facilitated the employment of 645 sports instructors in enterprises, subsidized over 2,360 employee sports activities, and engaged more than 570,000 participants. This year alone, 60 companies were guided to hire 68 sports instructors. Beyond financial subsidies, the program also arranges professional consultants for guidance and consulting services and has established a sports talent database to efficiently match companies with sports professionals, offering comprehensive support and resources.

The SA hopes that companies will regard "regular exercise" as an investment, implement and develop exercise habits under the sports instructor system, manage good employee relations, and create a sustainable future. We sincerely invite more companies to participate in the "Promoting Corporate Recruitment of Sports Instructors" program and work together to enhance the national sports culture.
