Tokyo, Japan offers Test of Chinese as Foreign Language

The Test of Chinese as Foreign Language(TOCFL) recognized by the Ministry of Education, Republic of China(Taiwan) is the world standard Mandarin Chinese Language proficiency test held by Steering Committee for the Test of Proficiency-Huayu. The TOCFL certificate serves as the standard of reference for the language ability of studying abroad in Taiwan, as well as for applying for scholarships.

TOCFL 2013 Tokyo, brought by Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in Japan, Department of Education, was held at 2pm, on April 20, 2013. The test was conducted at Waseda University, Waseda’s main campus (1-7-14, Nishi Waseda, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo).

The test is divided into Adult Division and Children Division, with a total number of 100 participants. Adult Divisions, registered 96 people, has four levels, including Elementary, Intermediate, Advanced and Proficiency. The Children Division of TOCFL was held for the first time in 2013. The test has Basic and Grown level, with 4 children registered.
