The Education Division of Taipei Mission held the 2016 orientation for Taiwanese exchange students in Sweden on February 5, 2016. Mr. Daniel T.C. Liao, the Representative at the Taipei Mission and Mr. Frank Y.L. Chen, the Secretary and acting director of the Education Division introduced the Education Division and its roles, and assured the students that they could contact always contact the Division, if they experienced any emergency. The Swedish education system was also outlined to the students, and Mr. Chen reminded all the students to make sure their student visas were always valid, and to study hard.
Mr. Liao encouraged the students to visit different areas in Europe and to enjoy the Nordic culture. Some Taiwanese students had been to Sweden as exchange students in the past. They were eager to return and had decided to undertake a degree program in Sweden, in spite of Sweden’s policy of charging non-EU students tuition fees.
