The London Overseas Chinese School held its graduation ceremony on June 26th, 2016 and awarded certificates and transcripts for the Children's Chinese Competency Certification (the “CCCC”) to all the children who had successfully completed the examination earlier this year.

All the students, parents, and Mandarin teachers participating in the ceremony were delighted to learn that all the pupils from the school who had taken part in the test had successfully passed. Mr Cheng Shyang-Yun, the Deputy Representative of Taiwan at the Taipei Representative Office in the UK, and Mr Ouyang Yen-Heng, the director of the Education Division, attended the event as guests of honour and offered their congratulations to the school and encouragement to the successful pupils.

Ms Wen Ying, the principal of the London Overseas Chinese School, praised the 34 pupils who participated in the CCCC on May 15th for achieving such impressive results. This was the first time that the CCCC has ever been held at the school.

The CCCC is designed for non-native Chinese learners aged from seven to twelve years old. The test questions are based on everyday situations and practical principles in accordance with children’s cognitive and language development. Candidates can apply to sit for a suitable test level corresponding to the length of time they have been learning Mandarin and the level of vocabulary they have mastered.
