Education Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City hosts “Taiwan government scholarship and job opportunities” afternoon tea press conference

The Education Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City held a “Taiwan government scholarship and job opportunities” afternoon tea press conference on February 24, 2017 at the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City. It was attended by reporters from Lao dong Newspaper, Tuoi tre newspaper, Thanh Nien Newspaper, Giao duc Newspaper, Phap luat Newspaper, Vietnamnet news, and Ho Chi Minh City Television.
Mr. Liang Kuang-Chung, Director General of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City gave the welcoming speech and talked about Taiwan’s New Southbound Policy, the Taiwan - Vietnam relationship, and the contribution that Taiwanese businessmen in Vietnam make to Vietnam’s economy.
The Education Division officials then spoke about Taiwan’s culture, life style, and education system, including the government scholarships available to students in Vietnam, namely Taiwan Scholarships, the Huayu Enrichment Scholarships, and ICDF scholarships. Officials from the Cultural Division and the Economic Division, and invited representatives from the Council of Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce in Vietnam also spoke to give the Vietnamese public details of the government’s Contact Taiwan website, and job opportunities in Vietnam.
The journalists were all very interested to learn more about Taiwan and many have already published details of the scholarship and job opportunities since the press conference.
