April 23rd is World Book Day outlined by the United Nations. In response to this festival, three National Public Libraries are holding all types of reading activities in April 2019. Everyone is eagerly welcomed to participate.
On April 19th at 19:00 p.m., the National Central Library is holding the activity “Literature Voices Reading Night at NCL.” Participant readers are free to enter this event without access cards. There is no age restriction, and participants can take part in a drawing for a prize.
On April, 20th at 10:00 a.m., the National Library of Public Information is holding the activity “First Reading Astronaut x STEAM Play & Foresee the New Future” consisting of three activities: a STEM Workshop, a Board Game Exposition, and a Creative Life Reading Market. These activities allow the public to experience the joy of reading together. On April 29th at 14:00 p.m., the National Library of Public Information is holding a press conference for the activity, “2019 Home Run Readers”, which is endorsed by the China Trust Brothers Professional Baseball team. For this activity, the sport of baseball and the library reading promotion are combined together.
In addition, The National Taiwan Library is arranging the activity “Picture Book Week,” which includes board game workshops and parent-child reading groups.
