The first "New Movement Train" of the "Virtuous Taiwan" Campaign departed from Taipei Train Station to Banciao Station. President Ma served as the conductor while Minister of Education, Cheng Jei-cheng, served as the deputy conductor. Together they told stories to a group of kindergartners on the train. When the "New Movement Train", which promotes character, quality of life and taste, arrived at Banciao Station, President Ma, Minister Cheng Jei-cheng, and Political Deputy Minister, Lu Mu-lin, lyricist Fang Wen-shan, as well as the Olympic taekwondo athlete Su Li-wen, took a photograph with the children.
