In order to promote reading, Minister of Education Chiang Wei-ling joined the populace in attending a book parade for “World Book Day- Wonderful Reading” organized by the National Central Library on April 20, 2013. A contingent of paraders came from schools, libraries, reading groups and telling-story theatrical troupes all over the country. The parade route went from National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall to Dongmen Square at Taipei City Hall.
