The Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in Japan’s Education Division hosted a Taiwan Scholarship Briefing Session
On August 13, 2013, the Education Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in Japan hosted a ceremony to award certificates to students who were selected to receive a scholarship and participate in the Taiwan Scholarship program, or in the Ministry of Huayu Enrichment Scholarship program.
Lin Shih-Ying, the Deputy Director of the Education Division hosted this midday, and a total of 35 students attended.
The Deputy Director first explained the meaning and significance of Taiwan Scholarship Program Award Certificates and the Ministry of Huayu Enrichment Scholarship Program Award Certificates, and encouraged the recipients to study hard in Taiwan, and then contribute the knowledge they gain to enhance the relationships between Taiwan-Japan after they complete their study.
Secretary Wang Hong-Ming then explained the rules and regulations of the Taiwan Scholarship, and a discussion session then took place. Some alumni provided details of their Taiwan experience to assist the new recipients of the awards prepare for their future studies there.
