The 2018 Asian Women's U19 Volleyball Championship was held from June 10 to June 17 in Hanoi in Vietnam. A Taiwanese delegation of 18 athletes from senior high schools, selected by the Chinese Taipei Volleyball Association took part. Kang Jin-Tu accompanied the athletes as manager of the delegation.
The Taiwanese athletes defeated South Korea, Kazakhstan, and India, and then the host country Vietnam 3:1 in the quarterfinal, thereby making it into the semifinals again for the first time after a gap of 6 years. They lost to Japan in their semifinal game and then to Thailand in the bronze medal final, but they had achieved the best performance in recent years, coming 4th.
Lee Ming, director of the Education Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office personally met the delegation when they arrived at Noi Bai International Airport, and saw them off when they were leaving, and the Bac Ninh Branch of the Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce in Vietnam looked after the delegation splendidly. They sent the delegation all types of fruit and late-night suppers every day and organized local Taiwanese entrepreneurs to support the delegation at each game. The members of the delegation all expressed their immense gratitude to TECO in Vietnam and the Taiwanese entrepreneurs in Vietnam for the wonderful support they were given.
