National Taiwan Science Education Center Delegation Visits Malaysia to Promote Science Education

Dr. Chen Hsuch-Yu, Director of the National Taiwan Science Education Center (NTSEC), visited Kuala Lumpur in October to give a seminar to promote science education to students in Malaysia.

The seminar took place at the Chinese Taipei School Kuala Lumpur on October 24. Dr. Chen gave the students a briefing about NTSEC, introducing its mission and vision, and its functions as well, such as the series of exhibitions and science learning activities that NTSEC organizes all year round. She told the participants about the development of science education in Taiwan and about the importance of nurturing scientific thinking in early childhood development. And she inspired the students with some interesting science demonstration activities. 

Dr. Chen encouraged the students to participate in the scientific learning activities and courses organized by the NTSEC, during their winter and summer vacations.

During her 6-day trip to Malaysia, Dr. Chen also visited various science-related institutions and organizations in Klang Valley and Penang. She then went to Singapore for a meeting with the Science Centre Singapore to discuss future international collaboration.
