Taiwan Space opened at Thai Nguyen University of Foreign Languages

The unveiling ceremony for the Taiwan Space – in room 503 of the B building of Thai Nguyen Universtiy of Foreign Languages – was held on October 11, 2018. The distinguished guests who participated included Đặng Văn Minh, Vice President of Thai Nguyen University; Nguyễn Khánh Doanh, Director of the International Cooperation Office of Thai Nguyen University; Lê Hồng Thắng, Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages of Thai Nguyen University of Foreign Languages; Samuel C.Y, Ku, Vice President of Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages; and Chang Shu-Ching, Third Secretary at the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Vietnam.

Chang Shu-Ching spoke at the unveiling ceremony, saying that students who are graduating from Thai Nguyen University apply to study in Taiwan every year, and the newly opened Taiwan Space will provide a window for Thai Nguyen University students to access information about studying in Taiwan and Taiwan’s culture. Students can access a wide range of material about Taiwan’s universities, the TOCFL language proficiency tests, and Taiwan as a travel destination, as well as souvenirs and brochures inside the Taiwan Space.

Thai Nguyen Universtiy of Foreign Languages is the third university in the Northern Vietnam which has established a Taiwan Space, following Hanoi University of Huamnities and Social Sciences, and Ha Long University. 

That same day, the Taiwan Education Center in Hanoi held a hands-on Chinese calligraphy class In the afternoon. The class was taught by Hsu Hao-Hsuan from Taiwan who teaches Chinese at Hanoi Open University and attracted more than 30 participants.
