INTI International University in Malaysia and Chung Hua University in Taiwan sign MOU to promote academic collaboration

INTI International University in Malaysia and Chung Hua University in Taiwan signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to enhance academic collaboration between them, on January 23, 2019.
The MOU will facilitate faculty and student exchanges, including international exchange programs, pathway programs, joint organization of seminars, workshops and training programs, and R&D projects.
The signing ceremony was held at INTI International University’s Nilai Campus, and the MOU was signed by Prof. Hsieh Hung-Nien, Vice President of Chung Hua University, and Dr. Joseph Lee, Vice Chancellor of INTI International University.
Mr. Chang Jiunn-Jiun, the Director of the Education Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Malaysia attended and witnessed the signing. He expressed his hopes that this MOU would mark the beginning of a long term relationship that will bring together students, researchers, and academics from the two universities, and that it will provide a platform where they can benefit from sharing their expertise.
He said that educational collaboration between Taiwan and Malaysia has increased greatly in the past few years and that he looks forward to seeing more cooperation and exchanges between higher education institutions in Malaysia and those in Taiwan.
After the signing ceremony, the representatives of the universities discussed future collaboration. Mr. Chang gave details of the Ministry of Education initiatives to promote studying Mandarin in Taiwan, on a short term or long term basis, and he encouraged INTI International University to send more students to Taiwan on language study exchange programs.
